After making space for new ideas on the labels for Weingut Schätzel's grand cru collection, we subsequently intensified our collaboration. Five wines, unified by the solera method and the prominent influence of flor yeast take us into cosmic terrain.

Instead of developing design proposals, we defined a set of rules and tasks. These were carried out by winemakers Jule Eichblatt and Kai Schätzel – by photographing yeast surfaces in wine casks and creating color gradients using a purpose-built tool. At WAF GMBH, we meticulously assembled these raw materials to create paintings that aren't paintings and planets that don't exist. Their procedural beauty reflects the precise and free-spirited way in which these wines are made.

The collection box includes a number of character cards. Each card explores the cosmic quality of a particular yeast microstructure.
